Each of our five children brings a unique personality to the table. Collins, our eldest, is the responsible one, always eager to help with the younger siblings. Colton is our creative soul, often found constructing amazing creations with his legos. Calynn has an adventurous spirit, she is feisty and constantly exploring and asking questions. Cash, our gentle heart, is always ready with a hug and is our most chill, go with the flow child. Maya, our niece, is the same age as Collins, is a lover of Disney princesses, and is also an adventurous but mischievous spirit.
Raising a large family means navigating a complex web of needs and emotions. It requires patience, flexibility, tons of coffee, and a deep well of love. Each child’s individuality is celebrated, and we strive to give them the attention and support they need to thrive.
With kids, we are noticing a lot of changes and challenges are popping up. For Collins and Maya we are at the gates of puberty…yay! Colton and Calynn are growing every day and are navigating the elementary school fun. Little Cash just turned two and is constantly finding new ways to impress us. If he isn’t skateboarding, he is driving around in his power wheel jeep beeping at anyone in his way.
As a parent I’m trying to take a step back to observe and enjoy the growth. I try to let the kids figure it out and be there to provide guidance when asked. Three of the five are doing some form of martial arts now so any sibling squabbles will be settled in the thunderdome soon.
