Life right now is an exciting whirlwind. My kids are diving deep into their activities—school, sports, and all the little adventures that come with growing up. As a family, we’re embracing the changing seasons, getting outside as much as possible. Whether it’s skating, skiing, or ice skating, movement is at the heart of everything we do.
On a personal note, Jiu Jitsu has become a grounding force for me. It keeps me humble, focused, and present. It’s a reminder not to rush ahead but to appreciate where I am. Working with a life coach has also opened my eyes to new paths, and I’m finding myself drawn to explore coaching further. As a teacher, helping others reach their full potential is at the core of what I do, and this feels like a natural extension of that mission.
On the professional side, things are moving fast and with incredible energy. Teaching physical education keeps me fully engaged—balancing lesson planning, curriculum development, and making sure my students experience the joy of movement.
First Push Syndicate, though, is where the real momentum is. We’re now active in 16 states, bringing skateboarding into PE programs and giving educators the tools to teach the sport confidently. It’s been amazing to watch how schools and teachers are starting to see skateboarding not just as an activity, but as a powerful way to engage students, build resilience, and introduce them to a lifelong passion.
As the demand for our program grows, I can’t help but feel excited about the impact we’re making. There’s always something new on my mind—fresh ways to integrate skateboarding into schools, ways to make the sport accessible to every student, no matter their background, and how to scale this mission to reach more kids.
The bigger picture remains clear: it’s all about sharing the joy of skateboarding, making movement meaningful, and creating spaces where students can discover their own passions for physical activity. The journey is just beginning, and I’m thrilled for what’s ahead.
